Good afternoon,

Thank you for choosing to apply to Harmony Public Schools. In order to provide complete transparency in our enrollment process, we wanted to notify you immediately regarding a technical error that impacted the live, blind enrollment lottery held Thursday, February 21 for our Houston South/West District. During the lottery, an unexpected technical issue erroneously placed applicants based on the date their applications were submitted, rather than in random order. To correct this issue and ensure a fair enrollment process for all applicants. We will conduct a new lottery Tuesday, February 26, at 6:00 pm. You are invited to attend this lottery which will be held at Central Office located at 9321 W. Sam Houston PKWY S. Houston 77099. If you have any questions regarding this issue, please do not hesitate to contact us at the Houston South/West District office at (832) 831-9174

We kindly ask that your child is in attendance during these days as this test will be a grade in the gradebook. Additionally, during Mock STAAR, we do our best to replicate the testing situation for the students to that all rules and guidelines according to TEA will be implemented.

Friendly Reminders:

Students may bring a small snack and drink to eat during the break of testing
Please refrain from placing notes and pens/pencils in packed lunches

Most importantly, gently encourage your child to take the test seriously and to do their absolute best.
