Dear Sugar Land Academy Students and Parents,

In order to facilitate a fun and positive at-home learning environment for our students while promoting an ongoing focus on academics during our campus closures, the HPS Communications Department will host a statewide “Virtual Spirit Week” next week on our campus Facebook pages.
Each day, we’ll ask families to share photos, videos, or drawings of themselves studying, working on their at-home academic packets, reading a book, or demonstrating positive character values (ex. completing household chores, helping a family member, etc.)  while dressed in a unique theme for the day.
The themes are similar to those chosen during our normal on-campus spirit weeks, and were selected so that families would NOT need to make an additional purchase or leave their homes in order to join in the fun.
The themes are:

Monday: Pajama Day
Wear your pajamas all day long.
Tuesday: Bed Head/Wild Hair Day
Let your hair go wild!
Wednesday: “Team Texas” Day
Wear your favorite sports team shirt or hat, or make a sign.
Thursday: College Shirt/Sign Day
Wear your favorite college shirt, or make a sign.
Friday: Harmony Proud Day
Wear your Harmony spirit shirt or uniform.

How can you help? When you see the Facebook posts with the theme of the day, comment with photos or videos of yourself and/or your team members in each day’s theme using the hashtag #HarmonyAtHome. You can also ‘Like’ or ‘Share’ the daily posts and/or photos posted by families.
Participation by both staff and students is optional. But together, we think this could be a fun way for our schools across the state to help students stay focused on their academics during the closure and promote our Harmony culture.
Thank you.
