Outstanding Score from Texas Education Agency – Distinctions & Ratings

HSA-Sugar Land earns all possible distinctions for an Elementary School: six out of six! In addition, gets an A rating; congrats to all the students, staff and families!

“Earning one or several campus-level distinctions is notable and should be applauded by a community as an outstanding achievement,” said Texas Commissioner of Education, Mike Morath. “For a school to earn every potential distinction applicable to their campus is difficult, but a reflection of some truly amazing work by our educators.”

TEA encourages parents to view the 2018 accountability ratings for school districts, charters and campuses statewide at Report cards are designed to be useful tools in seeing how a school or school district is doing in different areas. Or go straight to to view the report card of HSA-SL.

Dear Parents,

A change has been made to the Instructional Calendar because of the inclement weather that caused HSA Sugar Land to lose 2 instructional days on January 16th and 17th.

Currently, Monday, February 19 is designated as an inclement weather day, and therefore this day will now be used for a day of learning, as we are committed and dedicated to helping our students learn and grow to the best of their abilities by providing high quality instruction.

Additionally, in order to comply with state law, HSA Sugar Land school day has been extended by five minutes as of January 30 until the end of the year. Now our school day will be from 7:50 am to 3:05 pm.  As a friendly reminder, please ensure that your student(s) are in the building no later than 7:45 am and is picked up promptly for dismissal at 3:05 pm.
