As you are aware we will soon be implementing our Distance Learning Program. In an effort to prepare for it we are kindly asking Sugar Land Academy parents to complete the Student Technology Surveybelow by noon on Sunday, March 22.
Note: Parents, you are REQUIRED to complete a separate survey for EACH of your student attending HSA – SL ONLY.
As we begin to prepare in equipping our staff and students with tools for distance learning, we want to make you aware of the guidelines and requirements for borrowing our school technology materials. If you chose to check out a chromebook, below are the requirements. It is NOT mandatory, you check one out!
A. You will be fully responsible for the chromebook and charger for the remainder of the school year.
B. If the chromebook and charger are lost, damaged, destroyed, stolen (Example – missing keys, liquid spills, dropped, cracked screens, etc.) or NOT returned in the same condition at the end of the school year, you will be responsible for a $350.00 fee payable to HSA-SL.
Note: You are not required to check out a school chromebook. You may use your own piece of technology for distance learning as google classrooms work on all operating systems. Please keep an eye on your emails for our chromebook distribution schedule. Thank you for your patience and for partnering with us in your student’s education.
